Private Consultations -  $185

I offer private lactation consultations in your home.  A consult generally lasts 1.5 - 2 hours.  Phone and email follow up are included free of charge until your initial breastfeeding issue is resolved.

Home visits are available any day of the week, including weekends in the Greater Seattle Area and South King County (and sometimes farther, just ask!).  I know you need help urgently when problems arise!

Payment is due at the time of service.  I accept cash, check or credit card via Square.

I will provide you with a detailed receipt which you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  Check with your insurance plan if you are unsure of coverage.  In some cases, having a referral from your doctor ensures coverage.

I believe all mothers should have access to lactation care regardless of her financial situation.  Please contact me for payment plans and sliding scale options or information on other community resources.

Holistic Breastfeeding Classes - $35

Breastfeeding is natural, but it is also a learned art.  Babies are incredibly competent at birth and can teach mom so much if we let them lead the way.  Moms are incredibly intuitive when they are empowered to trust themselves and listen to their babies.  Common breastfeeding difficulties can be prevented and treated at home using natural remedies that support and nourish mom and baby.   Breastfeeding is especially important for babies born in special or challenging situations.  Partner support is essential; please bring your partner or other supportive family member to class if possible.  My breastfeeding classes are taught from a holistic perspective that supports and nurtures the breastfeeding family.

Topics covered include:
- discovering baby's cues
- instincts lead the baby to a good latch
- how partner support nourishes mom and baby
- natural newborn feeding behavior
- treating common difficulties with holistic healing
- normal breastfeeding in special situations
- milk expression and storage

Classes held in my home in South Seattle or Center for Birth.
Call to inquire about upcoming dates and to register.

I also teach a fantastic Breastfeeding Basics class at Big Belly Services, as part of the After-Birth Series.

I'm one of the breastfeeding instructors at Great Starts.
I usually teach at the following locations:  Parent Trust on Rainier, Group Health on Capitol Hill and Group Health in Burien.
